Shoestring is committed to diverse, inclusive casting. Shoestring does not precast.

Audition materials will be posted below as they become available. Every audition is different depending on the director's methods, so please read carefully. If you are having difficulty opening any files please e-mail us and we will be happy to assist you!

Shoestring Summer Showcase
In conjunction with our Shoestring Summer Showcase, we invite you to join us for a week of acting workshops! Classes are free, and open to anyone age 14+. All classes will be held from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the CPAC theater.
May 4 Acting 101: A class for beginners who’d like to learn the basics of script analysis, rehearsal etiquette and behavior, and more! Perfect for anyone who is new or returning to acting after a long break.
May 5 Audition Workshop: Our Shoestring directors will help you learn the ins and outs of a successful audition—and you’ll get to practice if you audition for our showcase!
May 7 Getting into The Space: Visiting director Chris Will (head of the Theatre department at Pima Community College) will teach a technique from his popular Acting I class known as “getting into the space.” This is a great class for newbies as well as experienced actors who enjoy learning new approaches to the craft.
May 8 Showcase Auditions: Whether you attend the actor workshops or not, we invite you to audition for our 3 new directors (Adelaide Crapo, Neil Crapo, and Kara Reynolds) and their showcase productions. There are roles for all ages and genders.
